Case Study: Silencing a Noisy Garage Door in Naperville

A Naperville customer called about a door loud enough to wake the kids. The complaint was "noise," but noise is a symptom — the visit was about finding the causes.

What we found

Worn steel rollers running dry in the track, loose hinge bolts from years of vibration, and a chain-drive opener with no belt to dampen it. Each added to the racket.

What we did

Swapped the steel rollers for nylon ones, tightened and replaced the worn hinges, lubricated the springs and track, and balanced the door so the opener wasn't fighting it.

The result

The door went from a house-shaking rattle to a quiet hum in a single visit — no new door, no opener replacement. Sometimes the fix is maintenance done right, not a big spend.
