Garage Door Installation in Chicago, IL

A worn garage door in Chicago, IL had peeling white finish and visible wear across its panels, so the homeowner chose to replace it rather than keep using the aging door. We installed a brand new 16x7 full insulated white CHI garage door in October 2026.

New Insulated Garage Door Installation

The old door showed extensive peeling and weathered areas across the front, especially along the lower panels and edges. Its appearance was no longer in good condition, and the homeowner needed a complete garage door replacement rather than a small repair.

We installed the new CHI door in white. The replacement has a full insulated construction and a sectional panel design with a raised rectangular pattern. The finished door fits the existing garage opening and gives the front of the property a clean, consistent look.

The photos from the installation show the difference between the worn door and the new one. The earlier door had broad areas of peeling coating and buildup along the bottom edge. The completed installation has even white panels, clear raised details, and a fresh exterior finish.

Garage Door and Opener Setup

The new door is paired with the existing ceiling-mounted opener system, which is visible inside the garage with its rail extending toward the door. We installed the replacement door beneath that system so the opener could operate the new panels.

A garage door replacement is more than changing the visible panels. The door must sit correctly in the opening and work with the hardware and opener above it. The completed photos show the door installed in the opening with the panel sections aligned from side to side.

Finished Garage Door Replacement in Chicago

The result is a new white insulated CHI garage door that replaces the heavily worn exterior. From the driveway, the door presents a clean paneled appearance instead of the old peeling finish, while the insulated construction provides an updated door assembly for the garage.
